17th September 2023 is being celebrated as World Patient Safety day as per communication from World Health Organization (WHO). This year’s theme is “Engaging Patients for Patient Safety” and increasing awareness about increasing the patient’s role in their safety in healthcare. Like last year, we at Peerless Hospital, Kolkata are organizing a one day conference ” MediSafeCon” on 16th September 2023 with the theme “Engaging patients for Medication safety” dedicated to increasing awareness about patient’s role in improving medication safety in clinical practice among pharmacists, nurses and doctors. Following sessions will be conducted leading doctors, pharmacologists, nurses and medicolegal experts of India and abroad.

Our conference where senior doctors, nurses, medical pharmacologists & pharmacists will discuss medication safety issues during clinical practice is being held in hybrid mode (online and offline), so that maximum healthcare workers and patients across the globe can receive the knowledge and information being shared during the conference.

Dr Neelam Dhingra, Unit Head, WHO Patient Safety Flagship: A Decade of Patient Safety 2021-2030, World Health Organization, Geneva, Switzerland has kindly agreed to become the Guest of Honor and deliver the plenary talk. She will speak on WHO theme of “Engaging patients for Patient safety”
