10th Anniversary of ‘Burdwan Sahajodha’

On 10th Dec. afternoon at Burdwan Udaychand Library, a cultural program was held to celebrate 10th anniversary of a popular organization called ‘Burdwan Sahajoddha’. Local MLA Khokon Das, Calcutta High Court AGP Ansar Mondal, Burdwan Mahila Police Station OC Banani Roy were among the guests of this cultural event that included prize distribution of various competitions for children. On this day, a drawing and recitation competition and a meritorious reception were organized on the occasion of the foundation day of ‘Burdwan Sahajoddha’. Dignitaries from different levels of society were felicitated in this meeting. Eminent journalist Mohammad Asif, Suprakash Chowdhury, Kumud Sahitya Mela Committee Secretary Molla Jasimuddin, eminent social worker and teacher Sutapa Das, police officer of Burdwan Mahila Thana and eminent dance artist Krishna Saha were awarded ‘Burdwan Ratna’. Among other guests in this meeting IJA East Burdwan district secretary Arup Laha, President Swapan Mukherjee, prominent journalists Tarakanath Roy, Baidyanath Konar, Sourish Dey, eminent lawyers Kamal Chandra, Dutta, Arup Ratan Sarkar, Biswajit Mallik on behalf of the WB State Grain Traders Association. People for people’ President of the organization Sheikh Pintu and others.
Pritilata Bandyopadhyay, Editor of Burdwan Sahajodha, President Rishigopal Mandal informed, “For more than ten years, Bardhaman Sahajodha has been working for the benefit of the people of the backward sections of the society. We have been consistently implementing the awareness program called Swayamsiddha of the East Burdwan District Police and along with that of the District Legal Services Authority. With cooperation, we have been providing legal services to people from weaker sections of the society.
