KPMG strengthens Global Tax Capabilities with strategic Kolkata expansion
Kolkata, 21 January 2026: The KPMG Global Services Delivery Platform (KGSDP) today announced the inauguration of its new office in Kolkata for its Tax Business Unit, reinforcing the firm’s long-term commitment to the city as a strategic hub for global tax delivery and talent development.
KGSDP launched its Kolkata operations with a team of 50 professionals operating from a co-working space. Over a short span of time, the practice has scaled to more than 200 highly skilled professionals delivering complex, technology-enabled Tax and compliance services to global clients. Kolkata’s expanding pool of finance and accounting graduates has made it particularly well suited for scaled tax compliance and global mobility services. The new office marks a significant milestone in KGSDP’s growth journey, reflecting a broader ambition to deepen KPMG’s presence in the region, expand service offerings, and build future-ready Tax capabilities.
The office was inaugurated by Rema Serafi, Vice Chair – Tax, KPMG US, along with Sameer Chadha, Partner, KPMG Global Services Delivery Platform Head, and senior leaders from KPMG US, KPMG UK, and KGSDP.
