“ASK MEDICS” service launched by South Point Ex-Students Association (ASPEXS) at their Annual Reunion, Rendezvous 2024
Saturday night marked a momentous occasion as South Point Ex-Students Association (ASPEXS) hosted Rendezvous 2024, one of the largest school reunions in town, at the Eastern Metropolitan Club. The event, organized by ASPEXS, brought together over 1000 alumni for an unforgettable evening of reminiscence and celebration.
An initiative titled “Ask Medics” was launched during the Reunion by the ASPEXS Medics Wing comprising Pointer health care professionals (doctors, dentists, nurses and other allied professionals, as well as health entrepreneurs) through the association’s website.

President of the alumni association stated that through this initiative, members of the Alumni, present and past teachers and other staff members and parents of students studying in the School can contact doctors of the Medics Wing and get their medical issues addressed.
All ex-students’ attending the Reunion were gifted the Special Postage stamp of South Point High School which was issued recently on the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee of the School.
The festivities commenced at 6:30 pm with an enthralling audio-visual showcase by ASPEXS Care Wing, a team dedicated to the well-being of retired teachers. Thereafter, attendees were treated to the vibrant “Woody Affairs” ramp show – a dynamic performance by alumni, showcasing their talents with a medley of Hollywood, Bollywood, and Bengali songs, seamlessly blending melodies with memories.
Highlighting the Golden Jubilee and Silver Jubilee years, the Class of 1974 (HS) and 1998 (Madhyamik) celebrated with a cake-cutting ceremony, capturing the essence of five decades of camaraderie. Amidst rekindling old friendships and revisiting cherished childhood memories, the reunion served as a platform where Mr Meghnath Roy Choudhury, Hony. Secretary of ASPEXS and Mr Riki Malik, Convenor APL announced ASPEXS’s upcoming extravaganza – the ASPEXS Premier League (APL), an alumni on-campus cricket tournament.
The atmosphere reached its pinnacle with a magical performance by Jojo, setting the perfect mood for an evening of nostalgia.
