Celebration of the 203rd Independence Day of the Republic of Peru
Kolkata, July 29, 2024: The vibrant spirit of Peru was brought to life in Kolkata as the country celebrated its 203rd Independence Day with a grand event held at the prestigious ITC Sonar Bangla. The evening was a dazzling showcase of Peruvian and Indian culture, featuring music performances and specially curated Peruvian and Indian cuisine.
The event was hosted by the Honorary Consul of Peru in Kolkata, Mr. Gopal Poddar and his son, CEO of Chaizup Beverages, Mr. Gunjan Poddar.
The event was graced by the presence of His Excellency, the Ambassador of the Republic of Peru in India, HE Paulinich Velarde Javier Manuel and many more dignitaries from all over India.
As the nation commemorates its journey to freedom, this celebration served as a bridge between Peru and India, fostering cultural exchange and strengthening bilateral ties.
