A Bengali couple Propagating Indian musical and cultural essence in USA among young generations
In the heart of the United States, far from the bustling streets of Kolkata or the serene ghats of Varanasi, a nonprofit organization has been quietly nurturing the spirit of Indian culture among the younger generations. For the last few years, this group has worked tirelessly to create a bridge between the Indian heritage and American upbringing of children growing up in diaspora communities. This group is known as United Indian Associations of Southern California or UIASC originally cofounded by Dr. Sukrit & Jayesha Mukherjee along with a few prominent community stalwarts from Southern California .
The organization’s mission is simple yet profound: to preserve and propagate the timeless essence of Indian music, dance, and cultural traditions. Through carefully curated workshops, music lessons, and cultural initiatives
