Aarya Awards 2026 Celebrates Inspiring Women at ICCR on International Women’s Day
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Aarya Awards 2026 was held on 5th March at the prestigious Satyajit Ray Auditorium at Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). The evening celebrated inspiring individuals from different walks of life who have made meaningful contributions to society. The event was organised by Parichay Foundation under the leadership of Dr Rosalin Patasani Mishra, whose dedication to social service and cultural initiatives continues to empower communities and encourage positive change.
The ceremony began with a graceful and captivating dance performance by eminent choreographer Avirup Sengupta and his talented troupe. Known for his artistic depth and expressive storytelling through dance, Avirup Sengupta once again mesmerised the audience with a performance that beautifully blended emotion, rhythm and cultural richness. His commitment to the arts and his continuous work with young performers and special children has made him a respected name in the cultural fraternity.
Among the distinguished personalities honoured during the evening was filmmaker Shrestha Ganguly. Known for her creative vision and meaningful storytelling, Shrestha Ganguly has steadily carved a niche for herself in the world of cinema and creative arts. Her work reflects sensitivity, depth and a strong voice for contemporary narratives.
Beyond filmmaking, Shrestha Ganguly has also been actively involved in initiatives that promote awareness around mental health and creative expression. Through her platform Florence, she has been encouraging dialogue and artistic engagement around emotional wellbeing and social understanding. Her dedication to storytelling and her commitment to socially relevant themes make her an inspiring voice among women creators today.
