Actress Bhawana Aneja feels International Men’s Day should be celebrated!

Actress Bhawana Aneja says she hopes to remember her father on International Men’s Day. The actress, known for her roles in films like Kavan, Aarambam, Shrimad Ramayan, the web series Raisinghani vs. Raisinghani, and TV shows Kumkum Bhagya, Dheere Dheere Se, and the current Deewaniyat, shares that she plans to cook something special for her partner.

“I will make something special for my partner, like a good home-cooked meal. Men usually appreciate a nice, homemade dish, and it’s a great way to make the day special for them,” she says.

Talking about days such as Men’s Day, she adds, “I completely agree that Men’s Day should be celebrated. Every person plays an important role in someone’s life, whether as a son, father, husband, or in any other role. Men are just as important, and celebrating them acknowledges their value and contributions to our lives.”

When asked who the man in her life is that she looks up to, she replies, “The man I look up to in my life is my father. Though he is no longer with us, I truly follow in his footsteps because he was the strongest person I’ve ever known. I deeply admire him and the values he instilled in me. The person I am today is because of him, and I’m proud of the strength he showed throughout his life.”

Meanwhile, the portrayal of strong men in films and TV shows has evolved. Men are now shown as having emotions, and Bhawana appreciates this shift. “I feel happy seeing how times have changed. Earlier, people believed that only women could express their emotions, but now men are also allowed to show their feelings. This is being recognized and portrayed openly in media and on TV. It’s a positive change and highlights that everyone, regardless of gender, has emotions. This shift is practical and good for everyone,” she says.
