Dr. Sunil Sharma’s books ‘Artificial Intelligence’ and ‘ChatGPT’ released in Kolkata Book Fair
Kolkata: Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma’s two technology-based books ‘Artificial Intelligence’ and ‘ChatGPT’ were released in a function organized by Vani Prakashan and Bhartiya Bhasha Parishad in the press corner of the International Kolkata Book Fair. On this occasion, a discussion session was also organized on the topic ‘Artificial Intelligence, Society and Literature’. In the program chaired by senior writer-critic Dr. Shambhunath, litterateur Mrityunjay Srivastava, historian Hitendra Patel, writer Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma and executive director of Vani Prakashan Group Aditi Maheshwari Goyal expressed their views on the topic. The session was conducted by Prof. Sanjay Jaiswal.
Senior critic Dr. Shambhunath said ‘it is yet to be clear how much artificial intelligence will prove to be an achievement of civilization. Medha robots can’t be a substitute for humans. Despite this, such books should come into society and they should be welcomed, they enrich the knowledge of society.’ Writer and cultural activist Mrityunjay Srivastava said ‘Artificial Intelligence is not a substitute for creativity so there is no crisis on creativity. Historian Prof. Hitendra Patel said ‘the joy of labor and the desire for control are the result of artificial intelligence. The society will decide what it will accept between artificial intelligence and physical labor.’
Poet and technologist Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma said ‘Artificial Intelligence is required to be used as per the need and it might bring a big revolution in industrial development. However, AI should be used for human welfare and the development of civilization by expanding human capabilities. It is, therefore, essential that the development of AI must be responsibly aligned with the ethical responsible AI concepts.’ Hundreds of literature and culture activists from Kolkata were present on this occasion.
