Expo of Photographs at Rupkatha’s Snapscape Gallery
Rupkatha’s Snapscape Gallery was inaugurated on July 7, 2024 at Paikpara, North Kolkata on the auspicious occasion of Rath Yatra by a host of dignitaries, including actress Debalina Dutta.
The venue exhibit the creative works of Rupkatha Rudra, a young talented visionary, as she continues her journey in photography. The photographs and the prints will be available for sale on order.
Ever since she was a child, Rupkatha Rudra had a great fascination for storytelling. While she read a lot of story books, she also fiddled with a Canon camera which belonged to her mother. That is when she realised that she can even create a story through the lens of a camera. And she saw that there is a story in every frame, as long as you clicked with a passion.
The passion turned in to an obsession so while she pursued her studies, she kept on learning more about the camera, the lenses and the technology, which was upgrading itself almost by the year. Soon she started attending workshops and since the family travelled extensively all over the world, she took up the opportunity to create stories out of wild life, flowers, trees, leaves, nature and yes, human emotions.
By the time she crossed her teens, she had won numerous awards.
It was only a few months ago that Rupkatha Rudra made a short stop over on her Odyssey in search for excellence. The short halt was in form of an exhibition of her work done till then and she was overwhelmed by the response she received from family and the fraternity.
Her current exhibition at Rupkatha’s Snapscape gallery now showcase her photographs on “Street Photography” and on “Nature”. There are over a hundred of her photographers and she hopes that her efforts to present her work in the public domain will also encourage a number of talented youngsters and give them the confidence to present their odyssey.
