Madhya Pradesh Artisans to Join E-commerce Business Through MPTB Initiative

Kolkata: Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board organised a free training session for artisans with the aim of bringing souvenirs made by Madhya Pradesh’s artisans to the global market. This training was given during the Lokrang festival at Ravindra Bhavan by the MPTB in collaboration with the online e-commerce company Delberto.

The artisans were informed that they can expand their market reach globally by registering their crafts and souvenirs on the online market and e-commerce websites.

In the training, Delberto company trainers Mr. Prateek and Ms. Pragya interacted with the artisans and trained them on the topics of registration, sale, branding, etc. of craft products on online and e-commerce platforms.

Ms. Bidisha Mukherjee, Additional Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, said that e-commerce business training was given to the artisans by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board. There are many such artisans who, by joining this platform, will not only be able to bring their crafts to the world but also be able to promote the importance of ‘Local for Vocal’ while becoming self-reliant and can develop self-employment opportunities. Artisans from various districts of Madhya Pradesh were present in the training.
