Orko’s Restaurant & Lounge Bar presents ‘Radhunir Diary’ – Celebrating the Microcuisines of Bengal

Hosted from 22nd October to 16th November, this culinary showcase invites diners to embark on a journey through Bengal’s regional kitchens, rediscovering flavours and traditions that have stood the test of time.
Speaking about the festival, *Kaushik Sengupta, Corporate General Manager, Sens Hospitality, said, *“Bengali cuisine is not a monolith — it’s a confluence of several microcultures, each with its own flavours, methods, and stories. Through ‘Radhunir Diary’, we aim to bring these diverse culinary narratives under one roof, so guests can savour the depth and variety of Bengal’s food heritage while rediscovering dishes that rarely find a place on modern menus.”
Each chapter of Radhunir Diary unfolds the stories of Bengal’s sub-regional cuisines — from the robust flavours of Rarh cuisine of Birbhum, Bardhaman, and Bankura; the rustic and eco-adapted dishes from *the Sundarbans Delta; the royal and refined *Kayastha cuisine of East Bengal; to the earthy and rooted flavours of Santhal and Chhotanagpur Plateau cuisine from Purulia.
On the menu are regional treasures such as Hash er Mangsho Kosha, Bhuna Khashi Mangsho, Sorshe Bata Tangra, Chingrir Bati Chorchori, Murshidabadi Biryani, Murgir Chaap, Bamboo Chicken, Chapra Curry, and Pabda Sorse, among others. The menu is attractively priced between *₹99 and ₹699, making it easy for guests to sample multiple dishes from across Bengal. To round off the experience, *Mukh Mishti Sukh offers a sweet ending with traditional Bengali desserts.
