Staff Of Techno India Dama Hospital Organises Silent Protest Rally To Voice Their Concern On The Safety Towards Healthcare Workers
Kolkata, 21st August, 2024: In response to the recent incident that happened in R G Kar Hospital, the dedicated staff of Techno India Dama Hospital organised a silent protest march today. The march was held to voice their deep concern over the increasing number of attacks on healthcare professionals, particularly women and to demand better security measures in the workplace.
“This silent protest is a demonstration of our unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of healthcare workers. The recent incident has raised serious concerns about the security measures in place, especially for our women staff. Through this march, we aim to highlight these issues and demand a safer working environment for all. The solidarity shown by our team reflects our collective resolve to stand against any form of violence or injustice in the workplace”, said Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group.
The peaceful protest began at Techno India Dama Hospital and proceeded to Karunamoyee More, with participants carrying placards and banners that highlighted the need for immediate action to safeguard the lives and dignity of those working in the healthcare sector. The march aimed to bring attention to the alarming rate of violence faced by healthcare workers, who are at the frontline of providing essential services.
The silent march expressed solidarity with the protestors and echoed the call for better protection of healthcare professionals. As the march concluded at Karunamoyee More, the staff of Techno India Dama Hospital vowed to continue their advocacy until concrete measures are taken to ensure their safety and well-being.
