The Holiday Season gets kicked off with a traditional cake-mixing ceremony at IBIS Kolkata
17th November, Kolkata: When Christmas gets closer, one of the most anticipated traditions that bring in the joy is cake mixing. With regard to the flavor and ingredient richness of the Christmas cake, ibis Kolkata has been celebrating the cake-mixing ritual annually while upholding the same standards. The ceremony was graced in the esteemed presence of Actress Sayantani Guhathakurta, Model Madhubilata Mitra, Designer Indroneel Mukherjee and Masterchef Priyanka M.
The custom of mixing cakes used to mark the beginning of harvest season. A lot of fruits and nuts were collected in the past in order to make the customary Christmas fruitcake. They would save the mixture of ingredients until the next year, hoping it would bring them good fortune once more. More than merely an introduction to the festive holiday season, the cake-mixing ritual has deeper meanings.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Amita Mishra, General Manager of IBIS Hotel, quoted, “Embracing the essence of togetherness and festive joy, ibis Kolkata is excited to host our much-anticipated cake mixing session. This cherished tradition symbolizes unity and celebrates the vibrancy of the season.
