Project Udaan(under the aegis of VVMVP), a project by Art Of Living, initiated by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, joined hands with Ms. Tnusree Chakraborty to celebrate Christmas at Canteen Pub & Grub. The event was held for a group of enthusiastic young children from Udaan’s Sonagachi Centre. Painting, music and drawing activities were organised for the little ones to get into the festive spirit. They were also treated to gifts and goodies.

In attendance at this event were President of Project Udaan Ms. Bharati Ganguly.

Ms. Ganguly said, “I think we enjoyed the celebration as much as the kids did! We wish to leave no stone unturned in our efforts to educate them for a better future. Christmas is a time for sharing & caring & events like this bring a smile on their faces. These magical moments gave the children chance to get into the Christmas spirit.”

Ms. Tnusree Chakraborty took some time out to interact and spend time with the group. The actor and philanthropist said, “I am so glad I got to spend such a happy time of the year with these kids. I like to lend my support in any manner I can. It’s wonderful how Project Udaan nurtures the dreams of these kids. One can’t help but love spending time listening to their stories. I believe each one has a bright future ahead.”

Swastik Nag, owner of Canteen Pub & Grub was delighted to have his space chosen as the venue for the children’s Christmas party. “Christmas as a holiday is simply made for kids to enjoy. We loved having the kids from Udaan with us, it was a pleasure to host them. We hope to have many more programs here.”

Canteen Pub & Grub on the 3rd floor of City Centre 1, Salt Lake, offers the same college canteen adda feel and vibe. This tavern, a mix of old-world charm with new, avant-garde architectural and design elements, was cheerfully decorated for the festivities.
