Chhaap Tilak Brings Exquisite Textiles to Kolkata

Chhaap Tilak Brings Exquisite Textiles to Kolkata

India is known for the beauty of its textiles through the centuries. Each region offers different crafts and textiles. From North to south and east to west, from villages to cities handloom weavers, block printers, textile dyers and embroiderers work to bring out traditional, modern and beautiful patterns on textiles and crafts.

Taal Connect Foundation has been very passionately patronising varied arts and heritage especially dance, music and textiles.

Sangeeta Dudhoria, Sonali Basu, Mrinalini Mukherjee and Suman Sarawgi came together to celebrate and promote exquisite forms of block printing and to give due respect to the artisans, craft and technique.
Taal Connect Foundation organised Chhaap Tilak- tales of block prints on 11and 12 September 2026 at Dhano Dhanyo, Hall-4.
“To all the artisans, designers and visionaries who have trusted us and joined the Chhaap Tilak journey — thank you. Your craft, stories and creativity enrich this space and give it meaning,” said the organisers.
