PepsiCo India expands better-for-you snacking with Quaker Ladooz and Chikki Bites

Kolkata, 27 October 2026: PepsiCo India has expanded its Better-for-You portfolio by launching Quaker Protein Ladooz (Rose Dry Fruit) and Quaker Protein Chikki Bites (Ragi Choco). Priced at just ₹10, the new range integrates real oats, 12% protein, and high fibre into beloved Indian formats without artificial flavours or palm oil, aiming to democratise nutrition through affordability and familiarity.

The launch is backed by a study titled The State of Protein & Fibre in Urban India, conducted by PepsiCo India with Euromonitor International and the Indian Institute of Millet Research (IIMR). The research revealed a stark nutritional gap: 70% of urban Indians consume less than 41g of protein daily, and 61% fall short on fibre. Additionally, 60% cited high costs as a barrier to protein consumption, while 89% across generations wished for protein in everyday, familiar food formats.

Saakshi Verma Menon, Chief Marketing Officer – Foods, PepsiCo India, said, “Better-for-You innovation is a key part of this journey… With Quaker® Protein Ladooz and Chikki Bites, we are bringing together the nutritional benefits of oats with much-loved Indian snacking formats, making nutrition more relevant in snacking rituals. This advances our ambition to democratize protein and fibre by bringing together familiarity, convenience and affordability.”

Sriram Iyer, Marketing Director – Quaker®, PepsiCo India, added, “Ladoo and chikki are formats Indians already enjoy and understand, making them a natural canvas for us to bring together oats, protein and fibre in a familiar and enjoyable way… With Protein Ladooz and Chikki Bites, we are excited to expand the role Quaker® can play in consumers’ lives and begin a new chapter for the brand in India.”

By aligning with existing eating habits rather than demanding a lifestyle change, Quaker bridges critical nutritional gaps in the daily Indian diet.
